NEC Starlet

Wordstar Walkabout

The NEC Starlet is a beautiful machine. Running a modified (weren't they all?) version of CP/M, it combined the simplicity of the PC-8201A/Model 100/Kyocera operating system (or lack thereof) with the power of CP/M. It also has WordStar, the definitive word processor for many years, built-in in ROM.

Like the PC-8201A, the PC-8401A has a great keyboard. It's very usable, and makes a great bedside note-taker. (Am I the only person who gets great story ideas in bed?)
